XRF Scientific reported record full-year results as demand from mining and industrial customers supported growth across its specialised equipment and chemicals businesses.

Revenue rose 8% to $64.4 million for the year ended June 2026. Adjusted profit before tax increased 10% to $16.1 million.

Statutory profit before tax climbed 5% to $15.4 million. The adjusted result excluded $690,000 of acquisition and international office setup costs, including $570,000 incurred during the fourth quarter.

The June quarter produced revenue of $17.2 million and adjusted profit before tax of $4.7 million. Managing Director Vance Stazzonelli said: “The June 2026 quarter was a record result with revenue of $17.2m and adjusted profit before tax of $4.7m.”

Equipment and precious metals lead growth

Capital Equipment delivered record profit before tax of $5.3 million from $26.3 million in revenue. Orbis revenue increased 26% to $8.9 million, making the crusher business a key contributor.

Sales of the xrTGA product reached $1 million for the first time. XRF expects the product to develop into a material contributor to the division.

Meanwhile, the manufacturing and engineering handover for the CGA acquisition is progressing. Instrument sales remain scheduled to begin during the first half of FY27.

Precious Metals generated record profit before tax of $4.5 million on revenue of $24.6 million. Demand for recycled platinum products remained strong throughout the year.

Higher platinum prices reduced new-product demand during the second and third quarters. However, XRF reported a notable improvement from the fourth quarter.

Consumables strengthen in second half

The Consumables division produced $6.8 million of profit before tax from $18.1 million in revenue. Second-half profit reached $3.8 million, compared with $3 million during the first half.

International sales drove that improvement, while Asia remained a key growth market. The company also said FY27 consumables sales had started strongly, supported by international orders.

XRF manufactures sample-preparation equipment and chemicals for mines, construction-material companies and analytical laboratories. Its technology measures material composition and purity for industrial quality and process control.

That exposure links demand to laboratory activity and production across mining and other industrial markets. XRF operates facilities across Australia, Europe, the United States, Canada and India.

Cash generation and dividend

Net cash inflow from operating activities was $11.4 million. The board declared a final fully franked dividend of 4.5 cents per share.

The dividend represents 61% of net profit after tax, matching the previous year’s payout ratio. XRF’s dividend reinvestment plan is available with a 2.5% discount.

The retained cash will support growth initiatives, including Orbis, xrTGA and the CGA product line. XRF also has at least six new machines under development and continues to review complementary acquisitions.

The company said international sales remain a key focus. Its new overseas offices and the CGA acquisition are central to that expansion strategy.
