Brightstar Resources has intersected 173 metres at 1.42 grams per tonne gold below the current Mineral Resource boundary at its Two Mile Hill-Shillington deposit, supporting the potential for an expansion of the 1.45 million-ounce resource.

The interval formed part of a broader 305-metre intersection grading 1.33 grams per tonne gold from 584 metres downhole in TMHDD26003. It was the first hole assayed from a four-hole, approximately 3,800-metre diamond drilling program targeting the Shirvington Zone at depth.

The below-resource section began at 716 metres downhole and extended across roughly 620 to 770 metres vertical depth. Its grade was almost twice the 0.73 grams per tonne cut-off used to report the deposit’s underground Mineral Resource.

Two Mile Hill-Shillington currently contains 24.6 million tonnes at 1.8 grams per tonne gold for 1.45 million ounces. It is the largest deposit within Brightstar’s Sandstone Gold Project, which has a total Mineral Resource of 3.6 million ounces at 1.4 grams per tonne.

Broad mineralisation remains open

Higher-grade zones within the 305-metre bulk interval included 64.9 metres at 1.47 grams per tonne from 585.1 metres, 28 metres at 1.95 grams per tonne from 713 metres, and six metres at 11.2 grams per tonne from 765 metres. The last interval contained one metre at 59.9 grams per tonne.

Additional tonalite-hosted results outside the bulk interval included 6.7 metres at 5.13 grams per tonne from 484 metres and 1.2 metres at 11.1 grams per tonne from 1,010.5 metres.

The reported lengths are downhole intercepts, with true widths not yet confirmed. Brightstar said drilling was designed to cross the tonalite body at a high angle and as close as possible to perpendicular to the dominant vein set.

TMHDD26003 tested the southern margin of the Shirvington Zone. Across the four-hole program, drilling extended the known width of the host tonalite intrusion to more than 400 metres but did not reach its western contact, despite holes being extended beyond their planned depths. Visible gold was identified in all four holes, although assays remain pending for the other three.

More drilling before resource update

Brightstar plans to begin a follow-up diamond program of approximately 6,500 metres in late October 2026. The multi-rig campaign will test southern extensions of the Shirvington Zone, further assess mineralisation at depth and seek to define the western tonalite contact.

The company intends to update the Two Mile Hill-Shillington Mineral Resource using results from both the current and follow-up programs. A pre-feasibility study due in the December quarter is assessing the potential for a bulk underground operation at Two Mile Hill alongside proposed open-pit mines at Sandstone.

Brightstar is also progressing targets along the Two Mile Hill to Bull Oak corridor, with initial drilling planned during the December quarter ahead of a larger program in early 2027.
