Manhattan Gold (ASX: MHC) Extends Jaws With High-Grade Intercepts
Manhattan Gold has extended the Jaws mineralised system northeast and to 223 vertical metres below surface. Fourteen drillhole assays remain pending.

0:00 / 3:39Manhattan Gold Corporation has reported broad, high-grade gold intercepts from drilling at its Jaws target in Nunavut, strengthening evidence that the mineralised system extends both toward surface and below the limits of historic drilling.
The standout shallow result came from hole JWS26009, which returned 74.67 metres at 1.61 grams per tonne gold from 21.34 metres. That interval included 15.24 metres at 5.35 grams per tonne from 35.05 metres.
A second hole, JWS26008, extended mineralisation to about 223 vertical metres below surface, giving Manhattan further evidence of continuity through the Jaws system.
High-Grade Zones Confirmed
JWS26009 was drilled as a scissor hole to JWS26004 to test continuity near the historic discovery area.
Within the broader intercept, the hole returned 1.52 metres at 11.35 grams per tonne gold from 48.77 metres.
Manhattan said the result extended mineralisation by 76.8 metres toward surface relative to JWS26004, with the high-grade system beginning about 18.25 vertical metres below surface.
JWS26008 returned 51.82 metres at 1.88 grams per tonne gold from 47.24 metres, including 7.62 metres at 7.05 grams per tonne from 82.30 metres.
The hole also intersected 41.15 metres at 1.06 grams per tonne from surface and, at greater depth, 24.38 metres at 1.15 grams per tonne from 204.22 metres.
Drilling Expands Jaws Footprint
A third hole, JWS26010, tested quartz veining northeast of the historic drilling area and returned 7.62 metres at 0.72 grams per tonne gold from 38.10 metres.
The result extended the interpreted gold-bearing system by more than 290 metres to the northeast.
Manhattan now reports a 2026 drill-tested strike length of about 588 metres at Jaws, with more than 290 metres of ground still untested between JWS26010 and the earlier drilling.
The company believes mineralisation intersected in JWS26010 represents a direct extension of the broader Jaws system.
Geometry Remains a Key Consideration
The reported intervals are downhole lengths and do not represent confirmed true thicknesses.
That distinction is particularly important for JWS26008, which Manhattan said was drilled partly down dip of the mineralisation. The orientation may therefore overstate the apparent width of some reported intercepts.
The company also cautioned that current drill spacing is insufficient to establish geological and grade continuity under the JORC Code.
Follow-up drilling is planned using orientations designed to provide intercepts closer to true mineralised thickness.
Jaws remains the most advanced prospect within the Hook Lake project. Historic drilling supported a foreign estimate of 3.4 million tonnes grading 2.38 grams per tonne gold.
That estimate is not compliant with the 2012 JORC Code and cannot currently be treated as a mineral resource.
More Assays and Drilling to Come
Assays remain outstanding from 14 drillholes, while drilling is returning to Jaws to test additional targets.
Manhattan has also selected samples for metallurgical test work, with material expected to be dispatched for analysis.
Regional till sampling is continuing along extensions of the Jaws trend toward the Omega and Moonraker prospects. Those results will be combined with structural targets identified from the company’s completed magnetic survey.
Manhattan plans to integrate the broader exploration dataset during the fourth quarter of 2026 to guide its 2027 field program.
The Hook Lake project contains 12 prospects across 665 square kilometres of the Rankin-Ennadai greenstone belt. For Manhattan, the near-term exploration case will depend on whether follow-up drilling can demonstrate consistent mineralisation across the large gaps that remain between the current Jaws intercepts.
