0:00 / 2:14Manuka Resources has generated A$1.64 million in proceeds from its latest gold and silver delivery, as the miner moves to a weekly precious-metals delivery schedule from its Wonawinta processing operations.
Refining results confirmed that material delivered to ABC Refinery in Sydney on 16 October contained 267 ounces of gold and 453 ounces of silver. Total receipts from the shipment were A$1,644,812.
The delivery provides a fresh revenue data point for Manuka’s restarted gold-processing operations. The company expects its next shipment of precious-metals-bearing filter cake to reach the refinery on 23 October, consistent with the weekly schedule announced previously.
Profitability update to follow
Gold production remains Manuka’s immediate operational priority at Wonawinta. The company plans to report on operating profitability from its October gold activities in early November, followed by quarterly production updates.
That profitability disclosure will be important for assessing the operation beyond headline sales receipts. The latest refining result establishes the revenue received from one delivery, but Manuka has not provided the associated processing costs or operating margin in this announcement.
Ongoing operations are being supported by gold-bearing screened waste-dump material from Mt Boppy. Manuka said the availability of this feed gives it flexibility to adjust the balance between gold and silver processing after its new silver circuit is commissioned.
Silver processing planned for early 2027
Manuka expects Wonawinta to transition to combined gold and silver processing in early 2027, following commissioning of new crushing and silver deslime circuits.
Once commissioned, the additional infrastructure is intended to allow management to vary the production mix according to relative precious-metals prices, operating performance and expected returns. Until then, gold remains the primary production focus.
The planned addition of silver is central to Manuka’s strategy for Wonawinta, which it intends to develop into a long-life, multi-source precious-metals production hub in the Cobar Basin. The current gold operations and scheduled weekly refinery deliveries represent the near-term revenue base ahead of that transition.
For shareholders, the next operational checkpoints are the expected 23 October delivery, the early-November report on October gold profitability and the subsequent quarterly production disclosures. Progress on commissioning the crushing and silver deslime circuits will determine whether combined processing begins on the company’s early-2027 timetable.
