Ballymore Resources has reported a shallow, high-grade silver-lead-zinc-indium intersection from its Torpy’s discovery in North Queensland, adding evidence that mineralisation extends towards the surface near the historic mine workings.

Reverse-circulation hole BTPRC022 intersected 16 metres at 36.5 grams per tonne silver, 1.3% lead, 2.4% zinc and 2.5 grams per tonne indium from 12 metres downhole.

The broader interval contained one metre at 207.7 grams per tonne silver, 9.9% lead, 12.5% zinc and 5.3 grams per tonne indium from 16 metres. Another two-metre section from 21 metres graded 105.9 grams per tonne silver, 3.8% lead, 9.6% zinc and 14.5 grams per tonne indium.

The result tested the up-dip extent of mineralisation near the old Torpy’s workings. It follows earlier drilling that extended mineralisation about 30 metres up-dip, giving Ballymore additional data on the shallow portion of the polymetallic system.

A second hole, BTPRC023, returned 11 metres at 49.1 grams per tonne silver, 1.1% lead, 0.7% zinc and 1.6 grams per tonne indium from 54 metres. That included four metres at 127.1 grams per tonne silver, 2.6% lead, 1.5% zinc and 3.8 grams per tonne indium.

Results from the remaining three holes were less consistent. BTPRC024 returned lower-grade mineralisation, BTPRC025 contained isolated lower-grade intervals and BTPRC026 produced a modest silver-zinc interval.

Geological model identifies more targets

Ballymore has incorporated the five final assays into an updated three-dimensional model combining drilling, alteration, visual mineralisation estimates and geophysical data.

The interpretation indicates higher-grade silver-bearing shoots within a broader silver-lead-zinc envelope. It also identifies sub-parallel zones east, west and up-dip of the principal zone, although more drilling is needed to determine whether these represent separate mineralised shoots and to test their continuity.

The reported intersections are downhole lengths rather than true widths. Ballymore said true widths may be as much as 50% less, pending confirmation of the mineralisation geometry. The project does not have a Mineral Resource or Ore Reserve, and current drill spacing is insufficient to establish the geological and grade continuity needed for an estimate.

Little Torpy’s assays due

The next near-term result is expected from five holes at Little Torpy’s, about 600 metres south. Several recorded visual galena and sphalerite, including BTPRC030, which contained a 22-metre interval from 34 metres with estimated sulphide content. These observations are preliminary and do not indicate laboratory-assayed metal grades.

Ballymore expects the remaining Little Torpy’s assays during October 2026. The company is also preparing further drilling at Ruddygore before the end of 2026, subject to final target selection and operational planning.

Ruddygore covers 556 square kilometres near Chillagoe, about 150 kilometres west of Cairns, and contains multiple gold and base-metal exploration targets.
