Flynn Gold (ASX: FG1) Extends Gold-Tungsten Zone at Firetower

Flynn Gold’s latest Firetower drilling has extended the F300 polymetallic zone to the northwest and at depth. Metallurgical testing is next before a maiden resource estimate.

Flynn Gold has extended high-grade gold-tungsten mineralisation at its wholly owned Firetower Project in northern Tasmania, strengthening the geological case for a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate.

The key result came from extension hole 2019FTD003E, which returned 12.95 metres at 2.24 grams per tonne gold, 0.46% tungsten trioxide, 0.18% copper, 0.23% cobalt and 7.22 grams per tonne silver from 156.9 metres.

That interval included 2.58 metres at 4.56 grams per tonne gold and 0.92% tungsten trioxide. A narrower 0.73-metre section graded 11.95 grams per tonne gold, 2.29% tungsten trioxide, 0.46% copper, 0.64% cobalt and 20.3 grams per tonne silver.

The reported intervals are down-hole lengths, with true widths not yet determined. Flynn estimates true widths at approximately 75% to 95% of the reported intervals.

Continuity emerges in the F300 zone

The latest intersection is about 50 metres northwest of hole 2019FTD014E, which earlier in the 2026 campaign returned 9.64 metres at 2.49 grams per tonne gold, 0.29% tungsten trioxide and 0.52% copper from 200.13 metres.

Together, the results support Flynn’s interpretation of a possible northwest-plunging higher-grade shoot within the broader F300 structural corridor. The zone remains open to the northwest and at depth.

A second hole, FT-2026-002, delivered wider but lower-grade mineralisation. Its results included 16.4 metres at 0.65 grams per tonne gold from 99.75 metres and 23.8 metres at 0.40 grams per tonne gold from 124.7 metres.

Flynn’s revised model divides Firetower into two principal trends. The northwest-oriented F300 zone hosts gold-tungsten-copper-cobalt mineralisation, including discrete higher-grade intervals. The approximately east-west F90 zone is predominantly gold-bearing, generally with lower tungsten and base-metal grades.

Drilling by Flynn and previous explorers has demonstrated polymetallic mineralisation across about 250 metres of strike and to a vertical depth of as much as 200 metres. The system remains open along strike and at depth, although Firetower does not yet have a Mineral Resource Estimate.

Metallurgy is the next test

The five-hole 2026 campaign was designed both to test extensions and obtain core for metallurgical work. Flynn now plans metallurgical sighter testing and further geological modelling before estimating its maiden resource. A review of historical geophysical surveys is also underway.

Metallurgy is an important remaining step because no bulk sampling or metallurgical testwork has yet been completed at the project.

The company reported $1.12 million in cash and no debt at June 30, 2026. Its announcement also noted that a rights issue was due to close on Wednesday, while resource-definition drilling continues at the Brilliant prospect within the Golden Ridge Project, where assays are pending.
