Kalamazoo Resources has returned high-grade, near-surface gold from its completed resource-definition program at Mt Olympus in Western Australia.

The standout hole intersected 20 metres at 19 grams per tonne gold from two metres. Another hole returned 43 metres at 3.8 grams per tonne from surface.

The results will feed into an updated Mt Olympus Mineral Resource Estimate targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026. They will also support the Ashburton pre-feasibility study, scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

Standout Assays

Hole KARC0206 delivered the headline intersection of 20 metres at 19 grams per tonne from two metres. Kalamazoo said this indicates high-grade feeder structures extend into upper stratigraphic units.

Previously, those structures were interpreted mainly within the lower siltstone unit. Their presence higher in the sequence improves Kalamazoo’s understanding of grade distribution across the deposit.

Hole KARC0207 intersected 69 metres at 3.0 grams per tonne from 149 metres. This included 26 metres at 5.2 grams per tonne and seven metres at 10 grams per tonne.

Other results included 30 metres at 5.7 grams per tonne from 193 metres in KADD0021. KARC0204 returned 44 metres at 3.5 grams per tonne from 15 metres.

The reported intervals are downhole lengths, not estimated true widths.

Denser Drilling Supports Resource Work

The 72-hole program covered 13,726 metres and finished in June. Assays have now been received from 62 holes, leaving results from 10 holes outstanding.

Drilling density across key parts of the open-pit resource has tightened to about 20 metres by 20 metres. The program was designed to increase geological confidence and support conversion of Inferred Resources into the Indicated category.

That work is important for future Ore Reserve estimation and mine planning. It also provides technical inputs for the pre-feasibility study.

Across the first 62 holes, Kalamazoo reported 33 significant intercepts exceeding 50 gram-metres. The company said mineralisation was encountered within and beyond the current resource model.

Some intersections sit outside the existing resource envelope but remain within the conceptual Scoping Study pit shell. These results will be assessed through the forthcoming resource update rather than treated as current Mineral Resources.

Ashburton Development Timetable

Mt Olympus is the largest deposit within Kalamazoo’s wholly owned Ashburton Gold Project. Its current resource totals 12.24 million tonnes at 2.7 grams per tonne for 1.073 million ounces.

The broader Ashburton project contains 1.436 million ounces across its reported deposits. The area historically produced 350,000 ounces between 1998 and 2004.

Meanwhile, underground growth drilling is underway beneath Mt Olympus. That program targets extensions below and down-plunge of the current Scoping Study pit.

Further drilling is also continuing at the high-grade Peake deposit. Kalamazoo plans additional testing along the Zoe Fault and the open south-eastern extent of the main host sequence.
