Unity Metals (ASX: UM1) Extends O’Phlay Gold Zone to 230 Metres
Unity Metals has extended O’Phlay’s interpreted gold zone to at least 230 metres depth. Another 20 diamond holes are planned after the monsoon pause.

0:00 / 3:38Unity Metals has extended gold mineralisation at Cambodia’s O’Phlay project after a wide intercept beneath its July discovery hole.
Diamond hole 26DDCM005 returned 70.4 metres at 1.1 grams per tonne gold from 195 metres. That interval included 15.4 metres at 1.8 grams per tonne from 250 metres.
The hole also returned 9 metres at 0.5 grams per tonne from 178 metres. A narrower result measured 0.7 metres at 4.1 grams per tonne from 61.7 metres.
Depth Continuity Takes Shape
Hole 26DDCM005 was drilled about 100 metres beneath discovery hole 26DDCM001 on the same section. The earlier hole returned 40 metres at 1.9 grams per tonne gold.
Unity interprets both intercepts as part of one broad zone of quartz-arsenopyrite veining hosted within diorite. The mineralisation now extends from surface to at least 230 metres depth and remains open below.
The company estimates the interpreted zone has a true width of about 45 to 50 metres. It dips steeply southeast and appears to strike northeast.
Importantly, the reported assay intervals are downhole lengths. Unity’s JORC disclosures state that true widths for reported intersections remain unknown and depend on structural orientation.
What the Drilling Establishes
O’Phlay had no modern drilling before Unity began the current campaign. The latest result therefore provides an early test of continuity beneath the initial discovery.
The two mineralised holes now demonstrate depth continuity on one section. However, current drill spacing remains insufficient to establish geological and grade continuity for a Mineral Resource estimate.
Unity has completed seven diamond holes totalling 1,243.9 metres at the Camp Prospect. Results from holes 26DDCM002 to 26DDCM005 were included in the latest release.
Holes 26DDCM002, 26DDCM003 and 26DDCM004 returned no significant gold intersections. Unity said the latter two holes did not adequately test the newly interpreted northeast trend.
Pending Assays Define the Next Test
Hole 26DDCM007, drilled 20 metres north of the two mineralised holes, intersected strong stockwork veining. The veined zone ran from 86 metres to 144.2 metres downhole, with assays pending.
Unity estimates that zone’s true width at about 40 metres. Conversely, hole 26DDCM006 encountered mineralised intervals measuring less than five metres southwest of the discovery.
That contrast indicates the zone may remain open northeast while narrowing southwest, according to the company’s interpretation.
October Restart Planned
Unity plans another 20 diamond holes covering 3,250 metres at O’Phlay. Drilling has paused for rig maintenance and the peak monsoon period.
Operations are scheduled to restart during October 2026, with assay results expected through the December quarter.
Initial holes will test lateral and depth extensions at Camp. Further drilling will target about six additional areas, including historical open pits northwest of the discovery.
Unity also plans drilling at Small Creek, 1.8 kilometres south. That prospect contains historical underground workings and arsenopyrite-rich gold veins.
O’Phlay hosts intrusion-related gold mineralisation, the same broad deposit style targeted at Unity’s Ngot project. Unity holds an 85% interest in its granted O’Phlay exploration licence.
