Dalaroo Metals (ASX: DAL) Strikes High-Grade Gold at Bondoukou

Dalaroo Metals has intersected high-grade bedrock gold in the first two holes drilled at its Bondoukou Gold Ridge Project in Côte d’Ivoire, giving the explorer an early indication that its surface targeting has identified a mineralised system.

The standout result from the Wilfred target was 18 metres at 7.31 grams per tonne gold from 63 metres in BDRC002, including 12 metres at 8.66 grams per tonne. The same hole also returned a separate 16-metre interval grading 1.46 grams per tonne from 113 metres.

BDRC001 intersected 23 metres at 2.14 grams per tonne from surface, including 12 metres at 3.35 grams per tonne from seven metres. This shallower result was contained within the oxide profile, while the main BDRC002 intersection occurred in fresh rock.

The two holes were drilled from opposing directions and both encountered gold. However, the reported intervals are downhole lengths: the mineralisation’s true widths, orientation and continuity have not yet been established. No Mineral Resource has been defined at the project.

Geology offers a follow-up indicator

The 18-metre high-grade interval in BDRC002 coincided with strongly silicified volcaniclastic rock containing quartz-sulphide veining and pyrite. Dalaroo considers that geological association useful for targeting further drilling at Wilfred and elsewhere along the approximately seven-kilometre Gold Ridge corridor.

Silicification alone does not account for the grade distribution. Another strongly silicified interval returned less than 0.25 grams per tonne, indicating that an additional control, potentially structural, may influence where gold is concentrated. Establishing that control is one objective of the orientation drilling.

The maiden results follow magnetic interpretation, geological mapping, soil sampling and auger drilling. Previous soil work defined an approximately seven-kilometre anomaly with a peak assay of 23.26 grams per tonne gold, spanning the Wilfred, Mag and Ali targets.

Dalaroo can earn up to an 80% interest in the Gold Ridge exploration permit through its joint venture with permit holder Goldridge SARL.

Assays and drilling to drive the next assessment

Only two holes from the initial 24-hole, approximately 4,200-metre orientation program have been assayed. As of October 3, Dalaroo had completed nine holes for 1,750 metres and was drilling BDRC010, with operations running across day and night shifts.

The orientation phase forms part of a planned 102-hole, approximately 12,000-metre reverse circulation campaign. A second phase of about 7,800 metres is intended to test and define mineralisation across priority areas, subject to results and other operating requirements.

Assays from BDRC003 and BDRC004 are expected in early November 2026, subject to laboratory turnaround and quality-control review. Those results will begin to test whether the mineralised zones extend beyond the first drill fence and help determine the geometry needed for systematic follow-up drilling.
