dorsaVi has secured firm commitments for an A$3 million placement to expand its human movement data capabilities for humanoid robotics and advance a low-power semiconductor development program.

The health technology company will issue 136.36 million new shares at A$0.022 each to new and existing sophisticated, professional and high-net-worth investors. The price represents a 12% discount to dorsaVi’s last traded price of A$0.025 and a 15% discount to its 10-day volume-weighted average price.

For shareholders, the funding provides additional capital to pursue dorsaVi’s expansion beyond its established clinical, sports and workplace sensor markets, but comes with a sizeable issuance of new securities. Placement participants will also receive 68.18 million free unlisted options, with one option issued for every two new shares. The options are exercisable at A$0.045 and expire three years after issue.

Lead manager 62 Capital will receive a fee equal to 6% of the gross proceeds and 24 million unlisted options on the same exercise terms.

From movement sensors to robotics data

dorsaVi’s existing technology uses wearable sensors and Video AI to capture and assess human movement outside a biomechanics laboratory. Its sensors are FDA-cleared and TGA-certified, have been deployed for more than a decade, and are used across clinical, elite sports and occupational health applications.

Part of the placement proceeds will be directed towards expanding the company’s clinical-grade movement data library and its capacity to collect bespoke datasets. dorsaVi is targeting information relevant to humanoid robot balance, coordination and recovery, based on requirements identified through discussions with prospective robotics and defence partners.

Those discussions have also covered smart-soldier systems, aerial drones and autonomous underwater vehicles. However, dorsaVi said these remain areas for technical and commercial exploration rather than completed integrated products. Its near-term objective is to define customer requirements and convert discussions into partner evaluations.

RRAM validation chip progresses

The placement will also fund dorsaVi’s licensed neuromorphic intellectual property and resistive random-access memory, or RRAM, program with NTU and ITRI. The program is aimed at enabling low-power processing at the point where data is captured, reducing reliance on cloud connectivity.

The first RRAM-CMOS validation chip has completed front-end and middle-of-line fabrication using TSMC’s CMOS process. The wafers are now progressing through proprietary RRAM integration, with energy testing under way. The resulting silicon data is intended to inform dorsaVi’s planned progression towards future 22-nanometre RRAM-CMOS development.

Remaining proceeds will support partner evaluations, general working capital and offer costs. Settlement of the placement shares is expected on or around October 19, 2026.
