Lake Resources N.L. has raised A$1.1 million through its at-the-market subscription agreement with Acuity Capital. The lithium developer agreed to issue 26.5 million fully paid ordinary shares at A$0.0415 each. The proceeds are inclusive of transaction costs.

Payment was expected on 12 August 2026, the date of the announcement. Lake will direct the funds towards corporate spending and work related to its flagship Kachi lithium project in Argentina.

Placement Terms and Discount

The shares will be issued under Lake’s LR7.1A placement capacity. That allows the company to complete the transaction without first seeking shareholder approval under the cited capacity.

The A$0.0415 issue price represents a 7.6% discount to the relevant 15-trading-day volume-weighted average price. That benchmark was A$0.0449 through 11 August 2026, inclusive.

The discount is a key term because it shows the price paid by Acuity Capital against Lake’s recent market trading. The transaction also adds 26.5 million ordinary shares to the company’s issued capital.

Lake described the arrangement as an at-the-market subscription agreement. It was previously referred to as a controlled placement agreement. The company has made numerous earlier announcements concerning the facility, dating back to July 2018.

Where the Funds Are Going

Lake said the proceeds will cover operating and general corporate expenditure. They will also support several activities connected with Kachi’s continued progression.

Those activities include work on the Exploitation Environmental Impact Assessment. Lake also plans to optimise commercial power solutions and advance strategic processes.

These workstreams address permitting, infrastructure and corporate planning around the project. However, the announcement did not provide revised development costs, construction timing or production targets for Kachi.

The A$1.1 million raising is therefore focused on maintaining near-term project and corporate activities. It is not presented as full development financing for the proposed operation.

Kachi Remains the Core Asset

Kachi is located in Catamarca Province, within Argentina’s Lithium Triangle. Lake describes itself as a lithium developer seeking to produce high-purity material from the project.

Its proposed development uses ion-exchange extraction technology. According to Lake, the approach is intended to address demand for high-purity battery materials and more sustainably sourced production.

The latest funding provides additional capital for work around that flagship asset. Environmental assessment and commercial power optimisation are important inputs in defining how a future project could operate.

Funding Risk Remains in View

Lake’s forward-looking statement notes that further funding may be required for the ongoing development of its projects. It also warns that such funding could be unavailable.

That qualification places the A$1.1 million transaction in context. The raise supports specified near-term expenditures, while the broader development funding requirement was not addressed in this announcement.

Lake also cautioned that project outcomes remain exposed to technical, economic, political, regulatory and market uncertainties. The company did not announce any change to Kachi’s development strategy alongside the placement.
