Brazilian Rare Earths has made a new high-grade discovery at Sulista South in Bahia, Brazil, intersecting multiple stacked rare earth seams across about 500 metres of strike. The discovery sits 800 metres south of the existing Sulista East deposit and remains open along strike and at depth.

Stage 1 diamond drilling returned grades of up to 13.3% total rare earth oxide (TREO), while interpreted true thicknesses range from about four metres to 18 metres. The results give the company another mineralised system to delineate ahead of a targeted Sulista Mineral Resource update by the end of 2026.

High-grade seams south of the resource

Brazilian Rare Earths drilled 13 holes for 1,674 metres at Sulista South, with assays received for eight holes and five still pending. Better intersections included 9.0 metres at 4.6% TREO from 99.7 metres and 8.0 metres at 4.4% TREO from 44.5 metres, including 6.0 metres at 5.1% TREO.

Another hole returned 6.8 metres at 4.7% TREO from 63.3 metres, including 4.1 metres at 6.0%. A separate one-metre interval graded 13.3% TREO.

The discovery extends the broader Sulista East mineralised footprint by more than 1.5 kilometres to the south. Together with a northern extension established through step-out drilling, Brazilian Rare Earths has now intersected mineralisation along roughly three kilometres of strike. More than 4.5 kilometres of the southern corridor has yet to be tested by diamond drilling.

Sulista East expands beyond current estimate

Step-out drilling has also extended Sulista East by about 350 metres north and 80 metres south of its existing Mineral Resource footprint. The change in resource tonnes and grade will be assessed as part of the forthcoming update; none of the new results is included in the current estimate.

Sulista East currently contains 2.1 million tonnes of Indicated Resources at 2.6% TREO and 6.1 million tonnes of Inferred Resources at 2.0% TREO. Infill drilling has confirmed the continuity and geometry of mineralisation in areas classified as Inferred, supporting assessment of potential conversion to Indicated status.

Notable Sulista East results included 26.7 metres at 1.7% TREO, containing 8.7 metres at 3.4%, and 22.3 metres at 1.5% TREO, including 3.2 metres at 4.1%. A deeper footwall zone returned 43.4 metres at 1.4% TREO and remains open at depth.

Resource update is the next valuation point

Sulista contributes no production, revenue, cash flow or economic value to Brazilian Rare Earths’ published Monte Alto and Camaçari Scoping Study. Its potential role as additional feed for the planned Camaçari processing hub remains subject to resource definition, mine planning and feasibility studies.

The company plans 2,000 metres of follow-up drilling at Sulista South, further work across the remaining southern corridor and another 5,000 metres of infill and step-out drilling at Sulista East. It is targeting conversion of a substantial majority of the Sulista resource to the Indicated category as part of the year-end update.
