0:00 / 2:55Artrya has signed a five-year commercial agreement to deploy its Salix coronary assessment platform across applicable clinical workflows within Huntsville Hospital Health System’s 15-hospital network, giving the medical technology company its largest US customer deployment to date.
The agreement carries a minimum contracted value of US$500,000 for Salix Coronary Anatomy. It will generate monthly software-as-a-service subscription revenue, while the use of additional Salix modules could produce fee-per-scan income beyond that minimum.
Huntsville Hospital Health System, or HH Health, becomes Artrya’s fourth US commercial customer and the first participant in its SAPPHIRE clinical study network to convert into a paying customer. That conversion is strategically important because SAPPHIRE is intended to give cardiovascular centres direct experience with Salix and establish relationships that can progress to routine clinical use.
Subscription base with usage-linked upside
The US$500,000 minimum applies only to the non-exclusive clinical licence for Salix Coronary Anatomy. It does not include potential usage revenue from Salix Coronary Plaque or Salix Coronary Flow.
Under the agreement, Artrya will receive a fee for each assessment performed using the Plaque module, which the company said is eligible for US reimbursement under a Category I CPT code. The Flow module will operate under a similar fee-per-scan model and be eligible for reimbursement once it receives US Food and Drug Administration clearance.
That structure gives Artrya a contracted recurring revenue base while linking additional income to scan volumes and product adoption. However, the announcement did not provide expected scan numbers or quantify the potential usage-based revenue.
The five-year agreement includes customary termination provisions, meaning the minimum contracted value should be considered within the terms of the contract rather than as an unconditional upfront payment. Full commercial terms remain confidential.
First SAPPHIRE conversion
HH Health is Artrya’s first commercial conversion from the SAPPHIRE network, extending an existing research relationship into routine clinical use. Artrya said it will continue developing relationships with other study participants alongside its broader US sales activities.
The customer joins Tanner Health, Northeast Georgia Health System and Cone Health, expanding Artrya’s US commercial customer base from three to four.
Artrya’s Salix platform uses artificial intelligence to analyse coronary CT scans and identify biomarkers associated with coronary artery disease. The HH Health contract is a multi-module arrangement, although near-term contracted revenue is centred on Coronary Anatomy and commercial use of Coronary Flow remains conditional on FDA clearance.
For shareholders, the key measures will now be deployment across HH Health’s applicable workflows, scan usage for the Plaque module and progress towards regulatory clearance for Flow. Those factors will determine how much revenue the contract generates above its US$500,000 minimum value.
